Born in Burleson County, TX, A.D. 1864.  Moved to San Saba County at the age of 7 years with parents.  Moved to Menard with family in 1870.  Was married to D.L. Murray April 21st, 1881.  Moved to Concho County, TX in 1886.  To this union five children were born.  W.L. Murray, Zack M. Murray, John W. Murray (Deceased), Louise M. Smith, and Oma M. Doole.  Her husband, D.L. Murray died June 14, 1928.  One brother, J.E. Wells of Freer, TX, and one sister, Mrs. Harriet Hall of Ft. Worth, TX, survive her.  Twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren survive.  She was the last charter member of the first Baptist Church of Eden, TX.
